WE LEARN FROM EACH OTHER. WE TEACH EACH OTHER.

I am grateful for your support and comments including the “I respectfully disagree” as you respectfully share your own experience and perspective. This dialogue is an important part of what I am looking for. It helps me and others see different ways to view our experience. We learn from each other. We teach each other.

I hope you sense by now that I follow my heart as my spiritual path. What does that mean to me?

Since childhood I have experienced my heart as the source of my guidance and clarity. I feel this in the area of my physical heart, but I know that it reaches much deeper than the physical. I also need to clarify that this is not coming from my emotional feelings or a gut feeling which is also emotion. My heart-powered path has protected me from the endless parade of external  stimuli and choices that would easily overwhelm my mind and emotions.

Instead, I move in the external world based on my internal guidance. My heart has guided me on an open path that has encouraged the exploration of many religions and alternative spiritual paths. I gained something essential from this.  It will not be the same guidance for everyone. We are all guided according what shapes our unique wellbeing. The heart speaks a language that can be understood by the person receiving. My close circle of people represent a nice variety of spirituality – Buddhist, Christian, Quaker, Nature-based. What we have in common is that we are all heart-centered people who have deep conversations without judgement. These are conversations where we learn from each other. Our conversations are fascinating!

My heart guides me to remain open to all religions, cultures, and belief systems that are love based. Someone else may be guided to focus only on their one chosen path, but to remain respectful of others.  We all perceive our world differently and we are each unique in our life experiences. We are born into different cultures, belief systems, and family structures. We will use different language for the divine unseen forces that we feel. We can’t expect it to be different in a diverse world.

What can be different is an acceptance that we all share this world. We each belong to this world just as we are. Therefore, we can open a dialogue. We can acknowledge what we know and what we don’t know all at the same time. We can be wise and also have beginners mind because there are infinite doors to open and explore throughout our lives.

My heart is my compass. This is a global movement.
